About the Standards

The Standards for Applying the Principles of Social Value is a practical resource that reflects best practices in impact management, social return on investment (SROI) and social value accounting. This complete set of Standards outlines out an accounting and decision-making framework that optimises impacts on the well-being of people and the planet.

Opportunity to provide feedback on the Standards

The complete Standards have been developed over a number of years in consultation with SVI’s international community. Now, with the content in its latter stages of development, SVI is providing a final opportunity to share feedback on the Standards before a final version is issued in 2026.

Watch the 60-minute informational session to learn about the Standards from the technical team and answers to the questions about the content and consultation process here.

Who can respond to the consultation?

The consultation is open to anyone who is invested in the meaning and practice of social value and impact management. This includes, but is not limited to, members of Social Value International and its Global Networks. The consultation is also open to anyone who is new to the process or has submitted feedback in previous rounds.
